putting a feather in my own cap!

Well truck-drivin hubby was home after a 5 week stint. He was here for 5 days and you know what happened. I made all his favorites ( the skinny little turd ) I thought I could have the same, only smaller portions. HA Well when he left on the scale in went and sh________. Up 2 pounds. I got back to my semi SBD and this am, down that 2 pounds. When I told him, he said, “well I guess I can’t come home huh?” No, you certainly can, you just might have to eat WHAT I EAT. It’s better for you anyway. He’ll just have to eat twice as much.

Studying, learning, and losing.

Good Morning Buddies. As I read and ponder on which route to go, I have lost another 2 pounds. Blows me away. A couple days I thought I really screwed up. I have basically been counting calories, but I tend to sometimes forget? I also sometimes just still feel hungry. After reading up on, and talking to Angela, I think I am going to try the South Beach route. It makes sense to me and for Phase 1, I am a meat and veggie kind of gal. I am going to do it online, and they will also give me an extended trial period as my Truckin Hubby is due home the 14th. He has been gone since the 4th of Feb. Anyway skinny guy that he is, it would be hard for me to start the virtual no carb plan while he is here. When he leaves again in a week, I will start, meantime just keep doing what I’m doing. Thanks for the vent.

ok buddies need some advice

I need to find some DVD’s for beginners. Have some Oldies’ but Goodies’ VHS type, but they are upstairs with the old TV. This house is so old, I might fall through the floor. Sooooo I need some new ones to use downstairs. Can you guys advise me. Not too tough to start with, but something that I can stay into for awhile til I get “BUFF” HAHAHAHAHAH. Thanks

Feelin like I got my butt chewed

Got up this morning and weighed. Lost a total of 6 #’s. Posted it in my weigh in and was told I’m losing too fast and should see a Doc. With almost every weight loss plan I have used, you start off with “Blast off week” so to speak to get your mindset going and incentive cranking. I’ve done this before with no ill effects, and I don’t plan on losing 6#’s every week. I would end up looking like a prune. Anyway don’t rain on my parade. If you do, I have an umbrella.

Theory behind increase or decrease

Hi, Rachel here. I started this diet with a “Souper Soup Diet” for one week. Am looking at Richard Simmons vs. Jim Karas. One plan has you starting out with 1200 calories and working up bi-monthly. The other, starting at 1600 for my weight and then reaching my goal weight decreasing to 1400 then 1200 to maintain. Can anyone give me some feedback to help make sense of this. The soup diet just goes to portion control after the first week, which is OK but I kind of like menus to follow. What do you all think?

New kid on the block

Hello, I’m new to this site.Don’t know if I’m doing this right or not. Let’s try. Have let my weight get out of hand and now I plan on doing something about it. Have lost 7 pounds so far. Even tho it’s water weight, it’s weight and it’s a start. It will be nice to have people to talk with about it as my friends and family don’t have weight problems and certainly don’t understand.
